Review Of JUST EAT

March 13, 2015 By Dan Toombs 1 Comment

Curry from JUST EAT

The kids’ curries were gone by the time this photo of sri lankan curry was taken.

I was asked recently to review the online takeaway service JUST EAT. My son has used their service many times so I had a good idea that I’d be happy with the service and food I received. I was.

The idea behind this review was not just to try JUST EAT but to promote their annual Tried & Tested Awards. JUST EAT run the Tried and Tested Awards each year to recognise the best takeaways. These are voted for by people who use the JUST EAT website to order their takeaways and then take the time to offer feedback and rate their local takeaways.

This year JUST EAT also introduced the new Consistency Award which recognises the UK’s top 20 from those restaurants that have achieved Tried & Tested for four years in a row. The consistency award allows votes to have their say on 8,000 restaurants, from which just a handful are awarded as the best of the best – as a result of receiving the highest ratings and reviews.

So it was from this list that I decided to start my search for the perfect takeaway dinner. The closest to my home was Francos Pizzeria in Stockton but I didn’t want to take the chance of the food getting cold. The takeaway is about 25 minutes from me.

A quick search on JUST EAT showed that one of my favourite local Indian restaurants, Raj Bari was also ranked quite highly on JUST EAT so I decided to give them a go. I’ve eaten there many times but never had the food delivered.

The Raj Bari didn’t let me down. We ordered through the JUST EAT site and everything arrived as scheduled, hot and cooked to perfection. As I write this, the Raj Bari only has 44 reviews so I’m going to have to add to this.

Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post. I received payment and a delicious takeaway dinner. I will definitely be using JUST EAT again. I liked the ease of ordering and also being able to read reviews of local takeaways before ordering. All opinions are my own.
