Apple & Banana Smoothie with Lime Juice

Sharing is caring!

I love the addition of lime juice to give my apple & banana smoothie a great citrus kick.

This is a deliciously refreshing apple & banana smoothie and the addition of lime and a sprinkle of cinnamon really make it a lovely breakfast fruit smoothie.

I say smoothie but strictly speaking this apple & banana smoothie is a lassi as it is made with yoghurt and ice as opposed to the standard milk used in a regular fruit smoothie.

I used the Vitamix A3500i to make this apple & banana smoothie as I love the smooth and creamy effect produced by that blender but any blender will do the job.

Make the recipe your own

I added cinnamon to the smoothie before it was blended and added a sprinkle to the top but if you don’t like the taste of cinnamon just leave it out. I sometimes sprinkle my fruit smoothies with turmeric for the extra health kick so this could be an alternative to cinnamon.

You can really use any yoghurt of your choice to make your banana & apple smoothie. I like Greek yoghurt as it is thicker but I would always say use whatever yoghurt you have on hand for your fruit smoothies.
