I love lassis and this one is one of my favorites. My pineapple smoothie recipe really thirst quenching and refreshing, perfect for a hot summer’s morning.
I use turmeric for the extra flavor and health benefit but this is not absolutely necessary in my pineapple smoothie recipe. If you want to omit the turmeric that would be absolutely fine, if you do want some extra flavor but don’t like turmeric think about making adding some cinnamon to your pineapple smoothie.
I realize I refer to this drink as a smoothie but strictly speaking it is a lassi as drank for breakfast all over India. You will notice that there is no milk in my pineapple smoothie so I believe this omission makes it a lassi!
I used the Vitamix A3500i to make this pineapple smoothie recipe. This blender really does produce an exceptionally smooth drink.
Make the recipe your own
I don’t use any milk at all in this pineapple smoothie recipe but if you do want to reduce the amount of yoghurt and replace with milk that would work equally well. Alos go ahead and omit the turmeric if you don’t have any available.
Pineapple, Apple and Turmeric Lassi
Ingredients
- Approximately 1/3 Pineapple roughly chopped
- 2 Apples roughly chopped
- 250 ml ( 1 Cup Greek Yoghurt )
- Large Handful of Ice
- Pinch of turmeric and some to sprinkle on top
Instructions
- Put the ingredients in your blender and blend for around a minute
